How to get from your hotel to the conference site at Avenue Campus

If you want to walk (35-40 minutes), turn right into Western Esplanade (which becomes Civic Centre Road as you go on) from the hotel entrance. Cross Western Esplanade at the traffic lights near the station, and follow the street to the traffic lights on the top of the hill (you are now facing the Civic Centre, a big building with a clock tower). Turn left into Havelock Road (which becomes Cumberland Place as you go on). Follow the street, crossing West Park Road, Commercial Road, Devonshire Road, Park Lane, Grosvenor Square, and Bedford Place, until you reach London Road. Turn left here, and follow London Road, until you see the Courts of Justice on your left. Here, London Road becomes The Avenue, a big road with a lawn between lanes. Follow The Avenue, crossing Rockstone Place, Archers Road, Brighton Road, and Banister Road. Follow The Avenue further until you reach a set of traffic lights (there is a church on the right hand side at this point). Use the traffic light to cross The Avenue. Carry on along The Avenue, crossing Westwood Road and Winn Road. The Avenue leads you now through a big park, which is called "The Common". Carry on until you reach Highfield Road. Turn right into Highfield Road, and follow it round the bend to the left. Avenue Campus is on your right now. Carry on past the car park entrance to the older part of Avenue Campus (see picture on the workshop page). Look out for EU network signs.
