A room (Room
2149) containing 24 networked Windows 95 PCs is booked for the use
of HF8 attendees between 0900 and 1700 from Sun 25 July to Thurs 29
July inclusive. We have also booked a room (Room
2129) containing Unix workstations: this will be available
provided a summer upgrade by our computing services is complete. There
are other adjoining rooms which together contain about 40 further PCs
available on a first-come-first-served basis. All these rooms are in
the same building as the lecture theatre where the talks will take
place.
You will need to sign a form and return it to us in order to be given an account. The form will be included in the folder you receive at registration, along with an individual account name and passwords for the PC and Unix systems. It is a condition for the use of an account that you agree to abide by the University's regulations for the use of computers and networks.
