Joining us: Postdocs and Visitors

Postdoctoral positions with SHEP

We generally have two or more postdoctoral positions available each year, funded by STFC (the UK Particle Physics and Astronomy Council). Most applications are made to us in the last quarter of a calendar year, and we make our decisions early in the New Year. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, please contact Professor Chris Sachrajda, head of the Southampton High Energy Physics (SHEP) group, or any other staff member. Send us a CV and statement of research interests, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent directly to us.

There are also schemes, like those listed below, which would allow you to join us by specifying Southampton as your host institution. If you are interested in any of these, please contact Professor Sachrajda or the staff member whose research interests are closest to yours. Also recall that you may be able to obtain financial support to come to the UK by applying to research funding agencies of your own country, which may have suitable Fellowship/Grant programmes, or suitable Foundations/Academies (click here for a country list).
