I present an approach to explaining the masses and mixing patterns of neutrinos by introducing a non-Abelian discrete flavour symmetry. Triplets of the flavour group called flavons gain VEVs according to the CSD(n) prescription, which dictates the PMNS parameters and neutrino masses. Results of a numerical fit are presented, showing CSD(3) as the most viable candidate. A renormalisable and successful SU(5) model which produces the CSD(3) alignment is presented, and implications for leptogenesis are discussed.
