A strategy for computing the anomalous dimension of the chiral condensate at the fixed point in infrared-conformal gauge theories from lattice simulations is discussed. In this this seminar I intend to give a brief review of infrared-conformal gauge theories, and of the general renormalization properties of the spectral density of the Dirac operator. I will outline also the differences in the behaviour of the spectral density between QCD and infrared-conformal gauge theories.
Using the spectral density, the anomalous dimension of the chiral condensate has been computed in the SU(2) theory with 2 Dirac fermions in the adjoint representation of the gauge group. In this particular case, the proposed strategy has proved to be very robust and effective.
