The existence of a small positive cosmological constant motivates the study of gravity at different length scales. I will begin by discussing back-reaction, which is the effect of small-scale metric fluctuations on the large-scale behaviour of the universe, in modified gravity and its implications for dark energy. Then I will discuss my current work on quantum gravity via the exact renormalisation group and motivate future work on supermanifolds and dimensional reduction in the UV.
